Silver Oaks Interactive on Display at the National Geographic Museum

‘Birds of North America’ will be open to visitors from Jan. 14 – May 31.

MOLINE, Ill. (Feb. 18, 2009) – Silver Oaks Communications, a creative media company centrally located in Moline, Illinois, recently completed work on a interactive touchscreen soundscape that features bird calls from 28 different North American species. Displayed as part of the National Geographic Museum’s “Birds of North America” exhibit in Washington, D.C., the Silver Oaks interactive “Bird Songs” allows visitors to select the calls they would like to hear, with the ability to combine multiple calls into a symphony of nature.

Virtual Embryo Develops at Silver Oaks

Silver Oaks has recently revamped the Virtual Embryo exhibit at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry into a more interactive and educational user-experience with the integration of touchscreen technology and stunning 3D animation. Using the existing content as a point of reference, we created a new 4-minute interactive experience that explains the role of master control genes and highlights the major milestones of embryonic development in the first eight weeks of human pregnancy.
