Chicago Historical Society earns award with Silver Oaks display

Silver Oaks Communications, Moline, has earned a national 2005 MUSE Award for developing an interactive touch-screen display for the Chicago Historical Society.

Silver Oaks and the Chicago Historical Society accepted the award May 2 at the MUSE Awards ceremonies in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.The award recognizes the “Clubs, Bedrooms, and Work” interactive kiosks in the “Interpretation and Education in History and Culture” category. The Media and Technology Committee, a standing professional committee of the American Association of Museums, announced the winners that include the White House Historical Association, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and the Oregon Historical Society. An Alcoa Employees and Community Credit Union print ad, written, designed and produced by Silver Oaks Communications, earned one of 137 Diamond Awards at the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) competition in Palm Springs, Calif.

Silver Oaks Inducted into John Deere’s Supplier Hall of Fame

Silver Oaks Communications, Moline, was inducted into John Deere’s prestigious supplier Hall of Fame at Deere’s Achieving Excellence Awards Banquet on February 17. The award recognizes Silver Oaks’ outstanding supplier performance and status as a Deere partner from 1999 to 2003. Mike Triplett, vice president of Supply Management at Deere, presented the award to Greg Scott, Silver Oaks president. More >
