Federal Reserve Federal Reserve

$1,000,000 Deal

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago recently posed the question, “Who wants to be a millionaire?” Its visitors have answered a with resounding “I do!” following the completion of a brand new display created by Silver Oaks. The display allows guests to stand next to a briefcase containing one million dollars and be photographed, forever immortalizing that millionaire moment.

Over the past several years, Silver Oaks has worked with the Federal Reserve Bank to update its Visitor Center. This year, the bank requested our assistance to turn the existing Million Dollar Briefcase exhibit into a photo opportunity, where visitors can simply press a button and have their picture taken. The challenge was to make the process as user-friendly and intuitive as possible.

What resulted was an instructional display unit that sits opposite the “photo-op” area which outlines the simple 4-step picture process and houses necessary equipment. The seven-foot-high by three-foot-wide display directs visitors via audio prompts to press the “camera” button on the front of the display and stand on the footprints next to the briefcase. A countdown then begins and the flash goes off. Once the picture is taken, a color photo is produced from the printer housed in the display, and the visitors can walk away with their free million dollar photo.
