Flash Forward to the Future

15MAY06

The Flash Forward Conference was held in March at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The conference focused on Flash as a platform and welcomed hundreds of designers, developers and artists from all over the world to share their knowledge and inspiration with the rest of the Flash community.

Where To Use Flash

  • Websites
  • online tools and applications
  • 2D animation
  • touch-screen kiosk applications
  • game development
  • video format
  • database integration
  • other rich media applications

At the conference our senior Silver Oaks developers were challenged to take existing technologies and applications, and repurpose them in new and novel ways that can improve the user interactive experience. Moreover there has been considerable advances in the new version of the Flash player which allow for greater interactive opportunity.

One goal of this technology is rather than present the user with a linear video, you may now immerse the user in a deeper, more engaging experience where they choose the path of the video presentation based on their own needs.

The popularity of Flash comes from its versatility and interactivity. Today Flash is being used to create everything from touchscreen kiosk applications and games to Flash movies and presentations. The technology is changing the way people create, manage, deliver and interact with information.

It takes the right blend of experience, creative ideas, unique art and skilled programming to develop effective Flash applications. The Silver Oaks team of designers and developers offers this combination -- and knocks it out of the park. See it happen today!
