2000 National ADDY Award Winner05OCT00Each year the American Advertising Federation hosts a black-tie gala to honor the nation's finest creative work in the field of advertising. This year the event, held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, welcomed Silver Oaks Communications of Moline. Silver Oaks was awarded a National ADDY Award for its books and interactive CD-ROM entitled "Silver Spurs and Cowboys." The "Silver Spurs and Cowboys" products capture the spirit, lifestyle, work, history and philosophy of modern-day cowboys. Brilliant and moving photographs, interviews, graphics and high production values won the group a local ADDY Award when it was entered through the Nashville, Tennessee, branch of Silver Oaks. From there it went on to win in the regional and finally the national competition. The work was chosen from over 60,000 entries across the country to win the highest award presented by the AAF. The winning of the National ADDY Award places Silver Oaks in the company of Nike, American Express, Disney, M&M Mars, Anheuser-Busch, Kraft and many other national advertisers. "It's an incredible honor even to reach the national level of competition," says Greg Scott, president of Silver Oaks. "Being awarded the ADDY is a testament to the fact that we are doing the highest level of national creative work right here." [ send this page to a friend! click here ] |
