Silver Oaks contributed their time and talents this year as the video sponsor for the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce third annual Silver Ball, held at Jumer’s Casino and Hotel, in Rock Island, Ill. Silver Oaks produced two videos tied to this year’s “Coast to Coast” theme.“Game Show,” the first video, featured a retro game show look with a lively announcer, personable host and glamorous game show hostess. This video showcased the popular “Pick,” in which a chance is purchased to “pick” a silver ball that contains a prize valued between $25 and $1,000. The second video, “On Our Way to the Silver Ball,” was a welcome message featuring a couple driving to the Silver Ball, and discussing the programs the event would benefit and the fun they were going to have. Both videos were shot on green screen in Silver Oaks studios. Silver Oaks animated the Silver Ball logo, designed the game show set, road trip car and scenery, as well as provided voice-over and music for both videos. The talents were representatives from the Illinois Quad City Chamber’s Silver Ball committee, who expressed their thanks for Silver Oaks’ sponsorship. “We want to thank you again for Silver Oaks’ time in creating the videos for us. They turned out wonderful and added some spice to the event!”
Silver Ball activities also included 50/50 raffles and a silent auction. Entertainment was provided by the Funktastic 5, while guests enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and face-to-face networking time. Several Silver Oaks staff helped organize and promote the Silver Ball, and also had a great time attending it. Silver Ball committee member and Silver Oaks Marketing head Jenn Verscha said, “What a wonderful time we had at such a beautifully orchestrated event! It is always a pleasure partnering with the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce and having an opportunity to give back to our community.” Tickets to the formal event were $75 each, with proceeds going to benefit economic development in the Illinois Quad Cities, supporting initiatives such as passenger rail, Western Illinois University, the Network and quadcitycareers.com.
