Silver Oaks Designs Award-Winning Logo for Modern Woodmen Park

After acquiring the naming rights to the former John O'Donnell Stadium in Davenport, Silver Oaks' client Modern Woodmen of America was in need of a new logo for the ballpark.

With cameras and equipment in tow, Greg Marten, head of the Silver Oaks Video Department, and his entourage recently had the opportunity to travel around the globe, documenting Alcoa facilities actively making use of the Alcoa Business Systems (ABS). Alcoa has been a valued client of Silver Oaks for many years, entrusting our team with comprehensive projects, including productions like this one, which uses animation techniques in combination with high-definition video to create a dynamic communications presentation for their employees.

MUSE²

Silver Oaks has received a 2008 MUSE Award for development of the John Deere StarFire^TM GPS Interactive Kiosk exhibit located at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. It is the second MUSE Award we have received in the past three years, and an honorable achievement considering only a handful are awarded for select categories each year. The international MUSE awards competition is sponsored by the Media and Technology Standing Professional Committee of the American Association of Museums to recognize outstanding achievements in museum media.

Gold Rush

Recently, Silver Oaks joined other industry locals vying for a touted gold nugget at the 2008 ADDY Awards, hosted by the Quad Cities Advertising Federation on February 16th at Stoney Creek Inn, Moline. The competition was fierce as the northwoods themed event progressed through the evening, but in the end, we walked away with four first-place recognitions–more than any other group that had entered.

Satellite Farming Indoors

Down the hall there’s a U-505 submarine. A coal mine is located upstairs. And just around the corner is the world’s largest pinball machine. The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago is also home to the Farm Tech exhibit and Silver Oaks’ latest award-winning museum project - an educational kiosk programmed to showcase the John Deere StarFire^TMGPS system.
