Director Developer

Our interactive media team is looking for a talented full-time developer with a minimum of 2+ years experience in Macromedia Director. Candidates should be fluent in Lingo and overall knowledge of Director's uses and application. Silver Oaks uses Director for a wide variety of software development from educational programs and museum kiosks to games of all kinds.

Ideal candidates should have a combination of strong programming skills and an eye for visual quality.

• 2+ years of Lingo programming
• Use of other programming languages such as ActionScript, PHP, HTML, XML and Java a plus
• Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Understanding of multiple audio and video formats
• Ability to translate design and functionality into an enjoyable user experience
• Motivated problem solver
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other developers
• Passion for learning
• Ability to organize digital files and documentation for projects large and small
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to intelligently communicate high-level technical information in sometimes relatively simple terms to non-technical team members and occasionally to clients
• U.S. citizen
