"Storytelling" Interactive
Project Description
One of the largest inland pine barrens in the world, the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, in Albany, New York, is home to a rare and diverse variety of plants and animals, providing a unique biological environment. For the Preserve’s newly-built Discovery Center, Silver Oaks was charged with the task to create two touchscreen interpretives that would enable visitors to document their personal environmental story and share their involvement or experience in preserving the pine bush.
The “Storytelling” interactive incorporates a web cam that allows visitors to record their own story, as well as view commentaries shared by others. A custom admin application allows staff to review, approve and title all submitted videos.
