New York Mets Hall of Fame and Museum Interactives
Project Description
Silver Oaks designed and developed four touchscreen interactives for the New York Mets Hall of Fame and Museum that opened on April 5, 2010, at Citi Field in Flushing, New York. Silver Oaks partnered with 1220 Exhibits to work closely with the Mets’ marketing department on the vast amount of data and history to help tell the story of the Mets and give fans a unique experience.
“Birth of the Franchise” chronicles the early history of the Mets franchise, from its creation, to its early years, to its amazing fan support – including photos and text descriptions showcasing key moments.
“Broadcasting Legends” recognizes the prominent broadcasters that have graced the NY Mets airwaves since the franchise’s inception. The interactive features a bio, photo and audio/video clips of memorable calls for each of the seven legends. A list of all broadcasters (by name, station and season) who have ever been on radio or TV is also available.
“Playoffs” highlights the Mets playoff seasons, including their 1969 and 1986 World Series Championship titles. For each playoff season, the interactive includes a season overview, video highlights of pivotal moments, memorable photos and a team roster.
“Put it in the Books” was designed and programmed to look and work like a media guide, allowing users to easily flip through pages to look up NY Mets records and stats. Sections include All-Time Leaders, National League and Major League Baseball Honors and Awards, All-Star Selections, Mets Firsts and Did You Know facts.
All four interactives are computer-based with touchscreens and 40″ slave monitors and were constructed to allow the client the flexibility to update the content as needed.
