Project Description

In support of a heart-healthy Quad Cities, Silver Oaks participated again as the design sponsor for the 2009 Go Red for Women Luncheon and Silent Auction. Since heart disease is the number one killer of all Americans, Silver Oaks wanted to design compelling pieces to aid in the promotion of this event and help change this statistic. With the theme “Kiss Heart Disease Goodbye,” Silver Oaks crafted promotional materials that showcased the many faces of women – young and old and of different ethnic groups – who are kissing heart disease goodbye. To represent this graphically our team came up with the idea of showcasing this diverse group of women blowing kisses. With this cleaver approach our designed pieces helped draw in over 400 women in attendance at this year’s event.

“Local sponsors are the key to success for events such as Go Red for Women,” said Regional Director Kate Cuellar. Companies such as Silver Oaks have been sponsoring Go Red for Women for the past few years, providing design work for invitations, posters and programs. “We enjoy participating in our community and contributing our time and talent to groups such as the American Heart Association,” Silver Oaks President Greg Scott said.
