"Future of Agriculture" Interactives

Project Description

The John Deere Pavilion, an agricultural museum dedicated to the importance of farming, its effect on people’s daily lives, and the past, present and future of agribusiness, is home to many Silver Oaks-produced projects. Four of the interactive programs are part of an exhibit called “Future of Agriculture” which explores biotechnology, precision farming, world population and sustainability through video, text, animation and entertaining scenarios and simulations. Visitors can take their turn as a biotech scientist and create new foods, learning how biotechnology continues to transform agriculture. They can also see the direct effects of urban sprawl on agricultural yields and calculate how much food is needed to feed the world and its growing population.
