Project Description

The Sawmill Museum in Clinton, Iowa, approached Silver Oaks in its early stages of formation for assistance in brand development. Referencing preliminary feasibility research and exhibit designs, Silver Oaks’ creative team worked closely with the museum’s executive director to establish a brand look that personified the museum’s messaging and overall theme. Starting with the name, our designers and writers consulted on crafting a name that was meaningful yet enticing to both local and regional audiences. From there, our designers explored a variety of options for logo designs. A casebook brochure was then developed for fundraising purposes to showcase the balance of the rugged character of the museum’s subject matter with its overarching sophisticated environmental messaging. Lastly, a website was created to complement the brochure and provide an avenue to capture and funnel public awareness and financial support.
