"Animals Calls" Interactive
Project Description
Located in Cape Girardeau’s North County Park in Southeast Missouri, the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center is dedicated to broadening its visitors’ understanding of Missouri wildlife. As part of this mission, the exhibit gallery includes a series of interactive exhibits that encourage exploration in nature.
Silver Oaks recently worked with Cape Girardeau to revamp its Animal Calls exhibit. Through this interactive experience, visitors have the unique opportunity of learning how to make calls like that of a pileated woodpecker or a narrow mouthed toad through the help of the award-winning animal caller and wildlife impersonator Ralph Duren. From a selection of 10 animals, Ralph Duren shares some of his tricks for creating a successful call, and then visitors can take their own turn at mimicking the sound.
Silver Oaks overhauled the exhibit programming, providing an updated program on DVD, allowing Cape Girardeau to have the most flexibility with future equipment requirements.
