Silver Oaks is looking for a versatile, talented, full-time technology professional for a wide array of hardware and software related projects. This unique position will work closely with our Web and Interactive developers to provide day-to-day support of our diverse desktop computing environment as well as front-end web development services for select client projects. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and should have both strong technical skills, and an eye for visual quality.
Support Duties Include:
- Mac OSX and Windows XP – Windows 7 Configuration and Troubleshooting
- Desktop Software Installation, Maintenance and Inventory
- New Hardware Configuration, Deployment and Data Migration
- Client Kiosk Hardware Configuration and Support
- Basic Network Configuration and Troubleshooting
Development Duties Include:
- Website Content Population and HTML
- Visual Design Implementation from Photoshop via HTML/CSS
- Creating Interactive Experiences with JavaScript/jQuery
Required Skills:
- Windows XP-7 and Mac OSX Support Experience
- HTML/XHTML & CSS
- JavaScript and jQuery
- Solid Understanding of Modern Web Standards and Best-practices
- Motivated Problem Solving
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Versatility and a passion for learning
Additional Beneficial Skills:
- PHP5 (Object Orientated)
- MySQL 3-5+
- XML, XSLT and related technologies
- Linux (Fedora Core 9-12 & Cent OS)
